    Amerit Fleet Solutions is looking to hire a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Walnut Creek, CA!

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    • Full-time - Monday - Friday; flexible day shift hours
    • Reports directly to Director of Human Resources.
    • Supports a specific group of employees that reside in multiple client locations and states (Generally Western Region)
    • Works directly with Account Manager(s) to respond to client inquiries about Amerit Employees, resolve HR issues and collaborate to optimize servicing the Account.
    • Focuses on developing employee engagement programs, minimizing turnover and maximizing employee satisfaction.
    • Builds strong relationships with Field Management and employees offering advice and counsel on following HR procedures and resolving HR matters optimally.
    • May travel to client locations – approximately 20%
    • Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
    • Performs benefits administration to include assisting employees with enrollment, fielding questions, and communicating benefit information to employees.
    • Works with recruitment department on recruitment effort for all employees in conjunction with staff recruiter.
    • Participates in weekly staff meetings and attends other meetings and training as needed.
    • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
    • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
    • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

    Key Competencies and Minimum Education

    • Must have demonstrated focus on employee relations including investigations
    • Have extensive knowledge or exposure to employment law – especially California regulations
    • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills & excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Experience working with union employees
    • A bachelor’s degree.
    • Bilingual in Spanish
    • 5-10yr+ years of Human Resources experience.
    • PHR certification preferred or on a PHR track
