Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is looking for experienced Human Resources Operations Manager to join our team in the Walnut Creek, CA office! 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of employee impacting processes including but not limited to candidate background, onboarding, training, compensation/benefit changes and leaves of absences.
  • Manages the Employee Services Center and its team of Human Resource Coordinators and Specialists
  • Develops employee goals and objectives in concert with the Director of Human Resources for the Employee Services Center
  • Oversee and serve as subject matter expert on leave management
  • Oversee, track and analyze exit interview process and metrics
  • Assist in hiring, training and reviewing the performance of Employee Services Center staff
  • Manage all aspects of the onboarding process
  • Documents all Employee Services Center processes by creating standard operating procedures as needed and ensures all SOP’s are accurate, up to date and adhered to
  • Organizes, creates and provides Employee Service Center training for the Human Resource Coordinators, Specialists and field employees as needed
  • Serve as escalation contact for issues related to the Employee Services Center
  • Serve as initial point of contact and liaison between Payroll, Finance and IT and the Employee Services Center team
  • Monitor and maintain data input into the HRIS system and ensure its accuracy
  • Ensure Employee Services Center practices and policies are consistently administered and aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage ACA HR compliance requirements and 1095 annual reporting process
  • Manage large data entry projects including but not limited to; merit increases, FieldGlass updates, open enrollment benefits election changes, location and project changes, annual sick leave reset, union pay rate increases, etc.
  • Oversee labor law posters and ensure compliance with all city, state and federal regulations including minimum wage changes and time off/leave ordinances
  • Conduct random audits of HR files to ensure compliance
  • Approve and time and leave for the Employee Service Center employees
  • Additional Employee Service Center projects as needed
  • Reports to the Director of Human Resources

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

Requirements:

  • Strong communications skills with all levels in the organization
  • Ability to troubleshoot concerns and respond quickly
  • Previous HRIS systems (ATS, SAP, etc.) implementation experience
  • Agile and adept in responding quickly to concerns
  • Must have demonstrated focus on employee relations.
  • Have extensive knowledge or exposure to employment law.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
  • Organized and the ability to multitask various objectives
  • Ability to work well with other departments (IT, payroll, safety) to ensure a seamless employee experience

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with concentration in Human Resources or related subjects
  • 4+ years experience in Human Resources
  • Prior experience in positions of responsibility preferably managing teams
  • PHR certification preferred or on a PHR track
