Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired and mission-driven Softwre IT Product Manager in Charlotte, NC to join our growing team!

 

The IT Software Product Manager will lead the product vision and strategy for our fleet maintenance technician platform, which is part of the ‘Hub’. This is a critical role where you will be the ‘voice of our technicians,’ translating their real-world needs into a product roadmap that drives operational efficiency and user satisfaction. This role will be responsible for designing and optimizing the mechanic experience with the software. Reporting to our Software (Hub) Product Lead, you'll work closely with a focused development team and collaborate across the organization to continuously improve the tools our technicians depend on every day.

 

 

Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Pay range: $115,000-135,000 annually, depending on experience!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Conduct regular feedback sessions with vehicle technicians across the organization to identify pain points, gather feature requests, and understand workflow challenges.
    • Build strong relationships with technician leaders and supervisors to gather insights on team needs and operational priorities.
    • Document and prioritize user feedback into clear, comprehensive product requirements and build out a product roadmap.
    • Work with developers through the development lifecycle from 0 to 1.
    • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that completed features meet user needs.
    • Manage the rollout and communication of new features to technicians.
    • Own training content and materials for new product features and capabilities.
    • Support the rollout of updates to ensure technician adoption and minimize disruption.
    • Monitor product usage metrics and gather ongoing feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Act as the primary support resource for escalated product questions or issues.
    • Identify and champion quick wins that can be implemented to improve the technician experience.
    • Travel to the various shops on a regular basis to work directly with technicians and to obtain feedback, observe technician interaction with the software, conduct time studies, etc.

    • Fully automated technician processes as much as possible
    • Collaborate with AI specialist team members to deploy AI driven solutions to the shop floor
    • High customer (technician) satisfaction with the software solutions provided
    • High customer intimacy with understanding shop floor technology challenges
    • As an individual contributor, partner with supply chain to optimize high quality parts purchasing technology

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

  • Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of product management experience
    • Proven experience translating user feedback into product requirements and specifications
    • Demonstrated ability to manage product roadmaps and prioritize competing initiatives
    • Strong collaboration skills with technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders
    • Experience with the full product development lifecycle (planning, development, testing, launch, support)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
    • Technical literacy (comfortable with web applications; deep technical knowledge not required)
    • Must be willing to travel approximately 25% to various shops in the US
