Job Title: Proposal Writer (RFP / Government Proposals)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Writer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role will be responsible for the development of high-quality, compelling proposals and RFP responses that directly support revenue growth.
This individual will play a critical role in translating complex business solutions into clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal submissions across RFP, RFI, and IFB processes, including government and regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of RFP, RFI, and IFB responses, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and compelling messaging
- Draft, edit, and format complex proposals, executive summaries, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, finance, and leadership teams to gather content and ensure alignment
- Manage proposal timelines, deadlines, and submission requirements
- Ensure all responses meet client specifications, compliance standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Translate technical, operational, and financial information into clear, persuasive narratives
- Develop and maintain a library of reusable content, templates, and best practices
- Create and format professional presentations and proposal documents using Microsoft Office and Adobe tools
- Support continuous improvement of the proposal development process and win strategy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in proposal writing, bid management, or RFP response development
- Proven experience with government proposals, regulated industries, or formal bid processes (RFP, RFI, IFB)
- Exceptional writing, editing, and grammar skills (must be highly detail-oriented)
- Strong ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder inputs and tight deadlines
- Experience working with confidential and sensitive documentation
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Adobe / PDF tools
- Presentation development and formatting
