Lead Diesel Technician/Mechanic – Middletown, OH

$32.00 - $42.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days 

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Lead Technician to join our team in Middletown, OH.

The Lead Technician will be responsible for timely repair and maintenance of light, medium, or heavy duty vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient fleet of vehicles as well as managing employees and garage operations.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $32.00-42.00/hour (based on experience)
Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Heavy Duty trucks, trailers and/or reefers
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
• Document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
• Work with supervisors and team members to keep fleets operational
• Coordinate with Fleet manager in completing shift work
• Able to supervise 2 or more other employees, while working
• Must maintain, order, and update parts inventory
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in performing repairs on Heavy Duty trucks, trailers and/or reefers
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues
• Valid driver’s license
• Must own and maintain personal tools and toolbox necessary to perform job duties
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)

Working Conditions

Technicians may be exposed to traffic, dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases. Work may involve lifting heavy objects, accessing tight equipment spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling while performing repairs.
