Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a Trailer Technician with required Reefer Repairs (608 required)! The Trailer Technician with required Reefer Repairs (608 required) is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of heavy-duty trailer fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Trailer Technician with required Reefer Repairs (608 required) will require a high level of proficiency and working knowledge working on Reefer units, PMs, and A/C. Note, you must have your 608. Required Reefer experience repairing the Refrigeration unit (Diesel Engine) on a Trailer. (Heavy-Duty Trailer Repair). Due to the nature of the repair flow, we could repair some Trailers (DOT Inspections and Repairs) if Reefer Units are in working condition.
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!
Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
$42.00 - $48.00 / hr DOE with 5 years + 608 Trailer & Reefer repairs

What the Trailer Technician with the required Reefer Repairs (608 required) role looks like:
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to Reefer vehicles
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare the safety documentation required
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Remove or install various parts on vehicles
- Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
- Perform other duties as required
What our ideal candidate looks like:
- Experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
- 608 Certification
- Experience with PMs and A/C
- Must have a valid Driver's License- Class C
- Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
- Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
- Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes, and noise.
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Ability to move and position heavy objects
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
