We are currently accepting applications for a qualified Fleet Maintenance Site Manager.  The candidate for this position will report directly to the General Manager and will have daily interaction with our dedicated customer. This position is responsible for the overall shop business and technical operation. Proven experience and a record of excellent customer and employee relations is necessary. Solid technical and asset management experience with medium/heavy duty trucks is required. This is a key position with a rapidly growing company that has a true customer service culture. This is an excellent opportunity with a competitive compensation package for the right candidate. 

Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - PAID WEEKLY, EVERY FRIDAY! $60,000-70,000 annually, depending on experience!

 

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Hands on management of day-to-day operations of a team consisting of 5 technicians
  • Direct involvement with a dedicated customer in all aspects of vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair including communicating repair status, repair cost estimates, overall shop operations, and shop efficiency.
  • Overseeing day to day shop operations, administrative processes, inventory management / parts procurement, and technician work quality & productivity.
  • Regular communication with corporate staff including Operations, Accounting, and Human Resources.
  • Accountability for contract relationship management.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Eight (8) years of experience in automotive/heavy truck/equipment/emergency vehicle repair and maintenance with at least three (3) of those years in a service management/supervisory role.
  • ASE Certifications STRONGLY preferred
  • Educational requirements: High School graduate with some college preferred.
  • Strong experience in managing technician productivity.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing Key Performance Indicators.
  • Experience in managing multiple technicians in a shop environment.
  • Fluent working knowledge of MS Office, with a focus on Outlook and Excel.
  • A proven track record as a self-starter with adherence to company policies.
  • Strong customer orientation with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both employees and customers.
  • Analytical and resolution skills at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have acceptable driving record and pass a drug screening and background check.
  • VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE REQUIRED.
  • CDL License is desirable.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a service management or assistant service management role is required.
  • Must have computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good organizational and people skills
  • Diesel engine and truck / trailer repair experience preferred, in addition to service management requirements
