Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking an EVT Technician to join our team in the San Bernardino, CA area.
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Pay range: $25.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications!
Responsibilities: As a 12-volt Technician and Installer for Emergency Vehicles, your primary responsibilities are installing, repairing, testing, and removing/replacing 12-volt emergency vehicle technology and equipment. Examples of this include, but are not limited to:
· Consoles, weapons racks, and partitions
· Light bars and flashers
· OBD cables, radios, speakers, sirens, and more
· In-Car Video Systems
· ALPR cameras, windshields, and side glass
· MDC's, antennas, and routers
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
· A minimum of (insert 1 or 5) years of experience in vehicle upfitting, automotive electronics, car audio, or a related field
· Install equipment in law enforcement, fire, EMS, public works, and other municipal vehicles, including but not limited to light bars, sirens, strobes, wig-wags, vehicle consoles, partitions, gun racks, K9 cages, transport seating/boxes, computer docking stations, modems, and GPS units
· Work with brands like Federal Signal, Whelen, SoundOff Signal, Setina, Havis, and 911 Circuits
· Possess an acute understanding and ability to locate, troubleshoot, and install/repair vehicle wiring systems on new and in-service vehicles
· Troubleshoot and repair previously installed equipment
· Follow build sheets and complete documentation accurately
· Experience with the installation of emergency lighting is required
· Ability to identify electrical circuits
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Able to read schematics and technical drawings
· Experience with mobile radios (Motorola, Kenwood) installation preferred
· Must be able to lift 50–60 lbs and work in/around vehicles daily
· Detail-oriented, dependable, and safety-focused
· Able to work independently or as part of a team
· Able to communicate well with others
· Able to work on and see small objects
· Good hearing and color vision
· Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification is desired, but not required
Requirements:
· You must be on time and prepared to work

· You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle upfitting, automotive electronics, car audio, or a related field
· You must be able to perform various physically demanding tasks that may require accessing confined spaces to modify and upfit vehicles.
