Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to join our team in the Palm Springs, CA area. The Fleet Maintenance Manager manages daily operations and administration of the facility.  Also responsible for maintaining Customer Relations and serves as a direct liaison to Corporate on all issues.

 

Directs, reports, and improves the daily operations of the facility.  This is a position that requires the individual to oversee multiple tasks and focus efforts in the areas where problems and/or opportunities exist

 

Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range: $90,000-110,000, depending on experience!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Management of a team consisting of 7 technicians and 2 support staff. 
  • Direct involvement with a dedicated customer in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair. 
  • Overseeing day to day shop operations, administrative process, parts and procurement, and technician work quality and efficiency.
  • Regular communication with Vector Corporate staff including Operations, Accounting, and Human Resources.
  • Overall management of contract SLAs to ensure maximum compliance and profitability.
  • Contract relationship management including communications and meetings with various customer department heads.
  • Producing various daily/weekly/monthly operations reports using Excel and FMIS.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college a plus.
  • Fleet Maintenance Managers should have a minimum of five years’ experience in an automotive/fleet maintenance and repair environment with at least three of those years in a management or supervisory role.
  • OEM/ASE certifications a strong plus.
  • Desirable Fleet Maintenance Managers will have some automotive/fleet technical background, including electrical and emergency vehicle knowledge.
  • People management and leadership skills required.
  • Experience in managing multiple technicians and shifts in a shop environment.
  • Must have computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel) and FMIS/Inventory systems
  • Problem analysis and resolution capability at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Discipline: a proven track record as a self-starter with adherence to company policies.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Fleet Maintenance Managers will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as it relates to company employees and customers.
  • Acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check
  • Solid organizational and people skills.
  • Dot Med Card, CDL A or B Advantageous
