Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired and mission-driven Corporate EHS Program Director to join our growing team! 

 

Must be based in Twin Forks, CO (Hybrid/Remote flexibility).

 

Compensation: Competitive Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! 

 

Salary Range: $135,000 - $175,000 base depending on experience.

The Corporate Program Safety Director is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of safety programs across a national fleet services organization. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, drives continuous improvement in safety performance, and supports operational teams with tactical, data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong project management skills, a knack for technical writing, and the ability to execute safety initiatives with precision and urgency

 

Program Development & Execution

  1. Design and implement a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS, ISO, ANSI Z-10) aligned with OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations
  2. Lead cross-functional safety initiatives, including fleet safety, hazard mitigation, and emergency response planning
  3. Own and update corporate safety policies, manuals, and SOPs, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders 

Project Management

  1. Manage safety-related projects from concept to completion, including telematics rollouts, ISO audits, and contractor safety programs
  2. Track milestones, budgets, and deliverables using project management tools and dashboards.
  3. Coordinate with field operations, HR, and compliance teams to ensure timely execution.

Technical Writing & Communication

  1. Draft and maintain technical documents such as safety manuals, training guides, and audit reports
  2. Translate complex regulatory language into actionable procedures for field teams.
  3. Prepare executive-level presentations and board updates on safety performance and strategy 

Leadership & Culture Building

  1. Serve as a visible safety leader across the organization, fostering a culture of accountability and proactive risk management.
  2. Mentor regional safety managers and field supervisors on tactical safety execution.
  3. Represent the company in regulatory audits and industry forums.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive safety leadership experience, preferably in fleet or field service environments.
  • Proven experience managing complex safety projects across multiple sites.
  • Strong technical writing skills with a portfolio of safety documentation.
  • Proficiency in safety platforms (e.g., Origami, Axiom, Samsara) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CSP, ASP, or similar certification preferred.
