Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a seasoned and principled Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP, HR) to lead our national HR function with a focus on employee relations, compliance, culture, and organizational development. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will serve as a key advisor to senior leadership and drive initiatives that foster a respectful, compliant, and high-performance workplace across all levels of the organization.
This role is ideal for an HR executive with deep expertise in employee relations and labor law, along with the ability to shape company culture and manage complex workforce challenges across a distributed and service-based organization.
Serve as the top HR leader and strategic business partner to the CEO and Executive Team, aligning HR strategies with overall business goals.
Lead and mentor HR leaders across Employee Relations, HR Compliance, Total Rewards, and HR Operations.
Develop and execute HR strategies that strengthen organizational capability, accountability, and engagement.
Lead the company’s employee relations strategy to promote fairness, transparency, and legal compliance.
Oversee the resolution of complex or high-risk employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflict mediation.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across all sites and departments.
Develop and implement proactive strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Act as a culture champion—supporting a workplace that values respect, inclusion, and operational excellence.
Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory requirements (e.g., ADA, FMLA, EEO, wage and hour).
Oversee internal investigations and collaborate with legal counsel as needed on employment-related matters.
Create and manage training programs to ensure compliance with workplace conduct, anti-harassment, and safety standards.
Mitigate risk by strengthening documentation, supervisory practices, and compliance tracking systems.
Partner with executive leaders to support organizational effectiveness, leadership alignment, and workforce development.
Lead the performance management strategy, including goal-setting, feedback frameworks, and accountability processes.
Drive succession planning and internal mobility efforts to build and retain a strong leadership bench.
Leverage data and insights to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
Oversee the design and execution of competitive, equitable compensation and benefits programs.
Ensure efficient, employee-focused HR operations and service delivery.
Optimize HR systems and reporting tools to support compliance, analytics, and workforce planning.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 7 years in a senior or executive-level role.
Extensive experience in employee relations and labor/employment compliance across multi-state operations.
Strong track record of managing complex workplace investigations and resolving sensitive employee matters.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills with executive presence.
Strong understanding of compensation and HR operational best practices.
Experience in a service-based, operational, or fleet-related industry highly preferred.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
