Position Summary

The Central Hiring manager (CHM) will be responsible for hosting thorough and complete interviews with technicians and bringing top talent into the Amazon Segment with a focus on Middle Mile.  The CHM will work to ensure each candidate feels valued and has a good understanding of the position they are interviewing for. In addition, the CHM will keep a tracker of every interview including employee background/skillset, # of years of experience, # of ASEs, subjective grading of candidate, and reason for hire/no-hire decision. The CHM will report to the Senior Operational Readiness Manager (SMOR).

 

Compensation: $90-$100k, depending on experience! 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The key focus for the CHM will be to bring top talent into the Amazon segment.  This includes perfecting the interview process, hosting thorough and complete interviews, providing candidates with an outstanding experience, and representing Amerit Fleet Solutions with class, dignity, and professionalism. The CHM will work with field leadership and the recruiting team to determine the needs of specific markets, and effectively communicate interview outcomes with the field and the recruiting team in a timely manner.  Effective and repeatable structured interviews will reduce turnover and help drive a culture of safe and high quality of work, providing the client with best-in-class service.

 

  • Primary Responsibilities Include:
    • Perfecting the interview process, hosting thorough and complete interviews, evaluating talent, making thoughtful hiring recommendations, and providing candidates with an outstanding experience.
    • Keeping a tracker of every interview including employee background/skillset, # of years of experience, # of ASEs, subjective grading of candidate
    • Working collaboratively with field leadership and the recruiting team to determine the needs of each specific market, customizing the interview to the specific needs of the location.
    • Work collaboratively with the recruiting team and SMOR to come up with creative ways to bring in qualified technicians.
    • Make data-driven recommendations to improve program efficiency.
    • Represent Amerit fleet solutions with class, dignity, and professionalism during zoom calls, being on camera in appropriate attire, in a quiet and professional environment, and with a positive attitude.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

      • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.  Strong desire to put team members in a position to be successful and guide them to positive business outcomes. Strong communicator with the ability to artfully influence, persuade and drive action.  

       

      • Has extensive mechanical knowledge of light and heavy-duty vehicles, preferably experience working as a technician and/or technician manager.

       

      • Knowledge of DOT regulations.

       

      • Ability to build good working relationships with field leadership and the recruiting team.

       

      • Demonstrated ability to execute action plans set forth by executive leadership.

      • Ability to receive feedback including surveys, KPI results, and/executive guidance and implement program changes quickly to improve results.
