Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the US, is seeking an experienced Director, Finance, Business Partner to join our growing company! This role will be a key financial leader, driving strategic insights and supporting operational excellence.

 

As a Director, Finance Business Partner, you will play a critical financial leadership role, reporting directly to Corporate Finance, with a dotted line to the Executive Vice President of Operations. You will provide strategic financial insights, timely analytics, and support for operational leaders to drive business growth and achieve key performance metrics.

  • Based in Walnut Creek, CA or Charlotte NC
  • Initially the role will require weekly travel for approximately 4-6 weeks in Walnut Creek, CA.
  • Occasional or limited travel required thereafter.

Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Pay range: $125,000-175,000 per year, depending on experience!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support operational leadership in developing budgets, reforecasts, and operational KPIs.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align financial plans with corporate objectives and growth strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to our Executive Vice Presidents of Operations, understanding their objectives, challenges, and key initiatives.
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights that enhance business performance and inform strategic decisions..
  • Work with accounting, reporting, and BI systems to generate impactful financial analyses.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supplemental reports, and analysis to support management reviews and decision-making.
  • Support Corporate Finance, where applicable, with activities related to GL, month-end close, AR, cash management, revenue recognition, and expense review to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Enhance financial processes to align with strategic initiatives and improve performance.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between corporate finance, operations, and other key stakeholders to align financial goals with business strategy.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance; MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • 7+ years of managerial experience in FP&A, planning, forecasting, or analysis.
  • 8–10 years of experience as a business unit or commercial Finance Business Partner

Other skills and abilities:

  • Business Acumen: Financial analysis, strategic thinking, analytical skills, problem solving and financial literacy is required.  Understanding business models, leadership, and the ability to interpret financial statements to provide strategic guidance.. 
  • Technical: Proficiency in Excel modeling and analysis as well as in financial systems. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new financial systems and applications.  Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning a plus. 
  • Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial and business documents; skilled in drafting reports, presentations, and process documentation; ability to effectively present information cross-functionally and to both leadership and external stakeholders
  • Reasoning: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and empower teams, take initiative, and work independently.
