Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing team! This role oversees all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in processing high-volume transactions. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and leadership skills are essential.

 

Pay: $90,000/yr. to $100,000/yr.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proactively ensure alignment of Accounts Payable support with organizational needs and goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to elevate conversation with senior leadership.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain the company's overall accounts payables, invoices, payments, and records on all company banking activities.
  • Ensures accurate recording of invoices and payments and AP controls are maintained.
  • Manage and review new vendor setups and maintenance.
  • Provides managerial support for daily cash flow activities performed by executive management.
  • Establish and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure accounts payable performance, implementing corrective actions to optimize processes.
  • Ensure the AP Zendesk email box is properly managed, timely responses are made to vendor inquiries, and processes are optimized.
  • Support the coordination of audit and the gathering of required audit information.
  • Prepare and submit annual IRS 1099 forms, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Manages the daily activities of team members, monitoring deadlines, and providing hands-on support and coaching.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Utilize and optimize PeopleSoft accounts payable module and Concur for expense reporting and employee setup.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Organized, detail oriented, possess a sense of urgency and can be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable with high volume transactions.
  • General ledger accounting experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as accounting, finance, or business preferred.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems. PeopleSoft experience is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
