Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutionsone of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired, and mission-driven Fleet Technical Trainer to join our growing team! We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Fleet Technical Trainer to lead instructional sessions within our expanding network of training academies. The Fleet Technical Trainer will collaborate closely with the training team and subject matter experts to master and deliver comprehensive automotive and fleet training covering a wide range of topics, including trailers, refrigeration units, diesel trucks, aerial trucks, EVs, and more. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a solid foundation in mechanics and demonstrate a strong eagerness to acquire in-depth knowledge about these vehicle units in order to effectively educate others.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead instructional sessions for diverse training academies, focusing on automotive and fleet topics such as trailers, refrigeration units, diesel trucks, aerial trucks, EVs, and related subjects.
  • Collaborate with training team members and subject matter experts to comprehend and deliver accurate and up-to-date training content.
  • Develop engaging and interactive virtual training sessions that effectively convey complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Continuously improve training materials and methodologies based on participant feedback, industry advancements, and evolving best practices.
  • Embrace and adapt to new learning opportunities.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

Qualifications:

  • Strong passion for learning and development, with a proven ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Background in mechanics or a related field; willingness to acquire in-depth knowledge about various automotive units and technologies. Must be willing to learn new things.
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of effectively explaining simple and intricate concepts.
  • Proficient in using technology for virtual instruction, including online platforms and multimedia tools.
  • Adaptable and flexible, capable of adjusting training approaches based on participant needs and feedback.
  • Collaborative team player who can work effectively with subject matter experts, training team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in technical training, mentorship, or education is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for in-person training opportunities.

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
