Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired and mission-driven IT Product Manager in Charlotte, NC to join our growing team!

The IT Product Manager for Amerit Fleet Solutions will be responsible for developing the roadmap, development and implementation of various business application software systems.  Will be responsible for meeting with the business functions to understand user requirements for system development, prioritize development sprints, and drive the software development. Be the main driver of change, by identifying and delivering process improvement in any area. The IT Product Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and development of IT products and solutions. Define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and oversee product development processes. The IT Product Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and marketing, to ensure successful product launches.

Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Pay range: $115,000-125,000 annually, depending on experience!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

What the role looks like:

  • Define product strategy: Create a product vision and strategy that aligns with business goals and customer needs 
  • Develop a roadmap: Create and maintain a roadmap that prioritizes features and improvements 
  • Gather requirements: Prioritize product and customer requirements 
  • Run beta programs: Test early-stage products and samples with users 
  • Manage product performance: Monitor product performance and use data to improve the product 
  • Manage support: Respond to user inquiries and feedback 
  • Ensure quality: Ensure the product is functional and high quality 

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • You possess a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • You have a strong background (5+ years) in software engineering as well as prior experience in product management
  • You have prior experience in managing a product throughout its lifecycle
  • You have a project management certification like PMP or similar certification, which is a plus
  • You possess strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You can work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information, decisions, and approaches to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly adaptable and agile in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment; able to thrive within ambiguity.
  • You are comfortable talking about technical matters with business people and business matters with technical people.
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Exceptional process and analytical capabilities
  • Experience working in an Agile manner is a plus.

Office location based in Charlotte, NC.
