Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Mobile Field Technician! The Technician is responsible for the timely repair of ditch witch, trailers, generators, and preventative maintenance of light to medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!
Schedule: Monday - Friday 3am - 11am
What the Mobile Field Technician role looks like:
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles and associated heavy duty equipment.
- Repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems on customer equipment as well as routine maintenance.
- Perform installations by setting up new equipment and ensuring it's properly calibrated and ready for use.
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation.
- Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle.
- Ordering parts.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required
What our ideal candidate looks like:
- Ditch Witch equipment experience desired.
- 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
- At least 3+ years of experience with diesel engine repair.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate (required).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Driver's license with a good driving record. CDL preferred.
- Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring and hydraulic schematics.
- Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.).
- Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
- Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Ability to move and position heavy objects
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
